Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. A visit to the Aru Valley is a must-do. Just spend time walking around the valley and take photos. The scenery is breathtaking. You will think you are in Switzerland. Get a local driver because the roads into the valley are narrow and difficult to navigate. If you visit the Aru Valley, you can skip the Betaab Valley, which is essentially a park.
